Things to know -We provide many types of services! -We are a training facility, and have therapists of all levels learning, growing, and changing!
Individual Therapy, Couples Therapy, and Group Therapy
Our Specialties: -Individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, or other mood disorders. -Couples struggling with communication -PTSD/CPTSD, trauma-related issues -Kink boundaries and starting in kink -Consensually/Ethically non-monogamous relationships: managing dynamics, communicating effectively, mitigating hardship, and defining your own relationship.
Independent level vs. Associate level vs. Practicum/Internship level -You will get quality care regardless of who you see, as each of our therapists are in supervision or consultation groups to ensure you get quality care. -Our intern therapists have completed all of their coursework and one other internship (or more) before meeting you. They are well qualified, just sometimes a little nervous (which just means they will ask more questions and make sure to help you even more!)
Benefits of getting a "less experienced" therapist: -You are likely to receive some of the newest treatment plans and interventions available. -Their newness brings high hope for change and a zest for understanding your mental health with you! -They are more cautious in what they do and say, meaning more careful with your treatment. -They often research a lot about your symptoms or presenting problems, giving you a very specialized treatment and someone being very diligent about YOU! -They are at the peak of understanding how to apply modalities in the ways they were meant to be used, making them wonderful therapists to find the perfect modality to fit your needs. -They are willing to spend extra hours to learn about you and your therapy needs. -They are still learning to set time boundaries, so you may get some extra time out of them (while this is not encouraged on their end, it does end up being a benefit to you).
We may record your sessions (you can opt-out) for training purposes. The recordings are deleted after they are viewed by the therapist and supervisor and are specifically to help your therapist grow!
